How to Calculate the Right Power Station Size
Power station capacity is measured in watt-hours (Wh). To determine the right size, multiply each device's wattage by its daily usage hours. Add all values together and apply a 20% safety buffer — LFP (lithium iron phosphate) batteries shouldn't be fully drained, and real-world efficiency through inverter losses runs at 85-90%.
Why a 20% Safety Buffer?
Two reasons: First, LFP batteries last longest when kept between 20% and 80% charge. Second, converting DC battery power to AC through the built-in inverter loses about 10-15% of energy. The 20% buffer covers both factors.
